Mini Convention

I realize that as a PE major I should probably know more about the mini-convention that is happening on Wednesday but I truthfully do not know what to expect. Is this a convention that will be different lectures from different people in the field or will this be something of a job fair where you will be able to go up to teachers in the field and get advice and such withiout having to sit through a day of lectures?

End of the year tourney

Today was the Slippery Rock University's club roller hockey end of the year tournament. The tournament was put together very well and went off without a hitch. I had tons of fun at the tournament even though not making it passed the third round of the breakaway competition was a heart breaker. Hats off to the club officials who put this tournament together, well done guys.

More Study Areas

Being a commuter to this school one thing that I have noticed is the lack of areas to sit and study in, such as coffee houses and or Internet cafe type of businesses. The only area that I can think of to work on a commuter or try to study is the few computer labs that usually have classes in them and the library where the majority of the computers to do work are on the first floor zoo. As a student I would like to see Slippery Rock put in an effort to make the town of Slippery Rock more college friendly starting with maybe a couple of coffee houses and wifi hotspots.
